The new fashion website is finally here. And I can’t wait to share what all I’ve been working on the past few months. Everything from style education including History & Psychology to helping entrepreneurial women dress for the dream job they already have! You’ve got goals and big dreams. Now, it’s time to dress the part!
Why I Started This New Fashion Website
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with style. I was always planning different outfits for school and was often glued to the TV anytime shows like, How Do I Look and What Not to Wear were on the Style network. I even occasionally watched America’s Next Top Model simply because I loved the different outfits and makeup looks. In fact, my first ever job was at a boutique where I helped women find the perfect outfit for any event and occasionally models new arrivals. And don’t forget modeling my new outfits for school on the runway in the hallway of my old home! Before I officially started my entrepreneurial career, I was working at Francesca’s, which is still one of my favorite all-time jobs to date! I’ve even dabbled in creating my own t-shirt and home goods line as well as sewing my own kimonos.
So, yes. This new fashion website really has been a long time coming. Ironically, I never thought I’d be “good enough” to be a fashion blogger, much less an “influencer”. As much as I’ve always wanted to have a career in fashion, I always felt like it was too trivial or materialistic. I had the idea that clothes weren’t serious and nobody would take me seriously. But a couple years ago, I made up my mind that I no longer wanted to hide behind my passion, even if some people didn’t understand it.
Quite honestly, I’ve changed my mindset so much in the last couple of years. Clothes are serious in the fact that they can alter how you feel about yourself! There’s so much psychology that goes into picking your outfit every morning that goes way deeper than just simply looking “cute”. Now that I’ve invested a few years on social media educating women on the history of fashion and the psychology behind different types of style, I’ve come to the realization that not only do I want to help people curate their own style, but I want to level up my approach.
